FRONTIERS: World premiere by hollywood chamber orchestra

Inspired by composer Aaron Copland's populist "American" music that celebrated the pioneer American spirit at the turn of the twentieth century, Frontiers seeks to invoke that same enthusiasm with optimism and hope in today's globalization.

World music workshops

Sponsored by Winchester Arts Program of Nevada, our workshop highlights the demonstration of a variety of traditional folk instruments from China and Central Asia, and shows how it can seamlessly integrates with Western instruments to make beautiful music.  This year, we have travelled and presented our program to music classes for K-12 schools, and for World Music courses at Universities, all in the state of California, Nevada, Tennessee, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Fieldwork on miao music of china

As the Official Envoy of cultural Exchanged between China and the United State by the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, The Pangea Project travelled to Guizhou in China for fieldwork on Miao people. As one of the 55 minority ethnic groups in China, the Miao has a rich tradition in music and costume.
